TJ is a writer living in Portland, OR.

So some children's author in the UK said a lot of negative things about libraries. Such as:

  • Libraries are the reason book stores are closing
  • People aren't entitled to have free access to literature
  • Libraries hurt authors because no one will pay for a book when they can read it for free.

Reading that article made me pretty angry.

In defense of libraries you can read a response on Technet by Tim Cushing. I don't feel like there's anything else I want to say about it other than, I support everyone having access to literature and that author sounds like a selfish jerk.
